Silver linings
almost booted out
finally, after frantic searching, we found an aparment. and after the tedious job of finding the right furnishings to stuff the pad, we're all set.
but really, the whole affair was harder than i thought. now i think it's easier to find a job or a boyfriend than finding the apartment you really like. then getting all those furnishings is so stressfull to the bank account. well of course, when you do the budgeting you only list stuffs like bed, cabinet, fridge, dining table, etc. you don't think about the trash can, rugs and mops, knife, chopping board, laddle, tabo, stuffs like that. wtf! a good sturdy spoon costs 40 pesos, get a matching fork then it'll be 90 bucks. abashet.
and the real spice was few days after we signed the contract for lease and settled the initial payments, we were almost kicked out of the place, even before the first cabinet was delivered. apparently Carmela, the contact person got fed up of all our inquiries and 'complaints' and was sort of 'hurt' when the mighty roomie talked to her on the phone. the thing about the faucet did it. anybody would have complained about a faucet which the trickle of water coming out is slower than the cow's pee. not that i actually observed a cow urinating, but you know what i mean. shall we finish washing the dishes in 3 hours every time? well everything was patched up later and we were allowed to stay after all, but we learned that a 5-foot-42-kilos chinese-waray girl, who seems bigger on the phone than in person, is just too strong for carmela to handle. hehehe

*cleaning timeto the top !
i didn't expect i would reach the top. of course it wasn't the toughest wall there is but still, for a slowfoot like me, it was a big accomplishment.
back to the days when kids (and adults) weren't hooked yet to online and network games, when it was common and normal for children to get scabbies and breed lice on their heads out of playing for hours under the sun, i was always the 'It', because i was always the last in climbing guava trees, sand piles, and the back of the pickup truck. climbing isn't really my forte, sports in general for that matter.
but i reached the top of that rock-decorated wall! wall climbing could be one of the best activities if you want to free your mind from the world's troubles. the only thing that you'll ever think up there would be the next rock safe enough to hang on or put your weight on. you'll not even notice you're sweating. and you'll also realize you're not just sweating, you're also shaking. at least the beginners, anyway hehehe
* i made it to the yellow. will try red next time. weakling.. hehevocabulary learned: belay ; verb
- to secure (a person - probably shaking and hanging on to dear life) at the end of a rope.
better be nice to the person who does the belaying for you. coz when you're up there, though your ass is in everybody's eyes, its safety lies in the belayer's hand.
davao..V
short time to enjoy the life of a pig - eat and sleep. well, there are also times that you chat with your family and childhood buddies, but really, most of the time is really spent sleeping while your sibling is hogging your laptop watching anime.
this is also a time you get to have a talk with your best friend who'd tell you straight faced things that you need to hear, not what you want to hear. if i didn't know her better, i'd have punched her.

* la-la-la :-"got burned
* didn't realize a lake could be so calmoh yes, literally! under the camotes island sun.
so far the longest company outing ever, the most number of beaches (plus caves and a big lake), some singing spree, and the least quantity of food.
hehehe (which is not so bad actually)
*the islet in the lake. from afar it looks like a Temptation Island or Survivor location, up close you'd see it is inhabited by rabbits. heheheother activities since april:
- yoga, gym
- badminton
- dentist
- trips to the laundromat
- beach!
so that's why i couldn't afford a nap.
