coffee
i'm almost a coffee addict. 'almost' because i'm still a way off the peak of addiction (i'm just a mug a day, a little more if i happen to drop by starbucks). but i think it so unfair. some people i know consume 3 cups of coffee a day on the average, and they're ok. me, more than 1 mug a day, i'll palpitate. when i started on coffee, i blamed the palpitation on the pressure at work especially when i'm beating deadlines. but last week, even though i've finished my module 2 days ahead of schedule and there are no major bugs and my other loads are doing ok, i had the worst palpitation ever. (latest coffee intake: starbucks cappuccino grande at 11pm the night before, then a medium size basic coffee from Bos, no cream at 9 am) my hands were shaking most of the day and i can't do anything properly because i was panicking. panicking over nothing. it is so unfair..i really got scared over that so i stayed away from coffee for a few days. so now, 5 days after that caffeine-induced heart exercise, i slugged a mug of coffee. i became alert instantly. i dunno what's with coffee besides caffeine, but i feel more alive and optimistic. happy, even.wow, i wish i could find a way to make myself feel like this on regular basis, WITHOUT the aid of coffee.
